Dear friends and family,
But for the Grace of God go I!!! As a little girl, I can remember losing sleep over worrying about people sleeping outside at night. I felt guilty often times laying in my warm bed, knowing there were those laying on cold, wet, someone's freezing dirty streets and alleyways. It was a hopeless feeling for me as a little girl. But now, as an adult, I can make a difference.
On November 7 I will sleep outside overnight. On the next day, November 8, 2025, I will continue by participating in a charity walk to raise awareness and funding to support people experiencing unsheltered homelessness. I will Walk a Mile in Someone Else’s Shoes and face some of the challenges that come along with having no home. Along the walk I’ll learn what it is like to experience real barriers that people face when trying to access food, shelter, and safety. I will have to make a decision of whether to receive food, stand in line for a warming shelter, or choose resources instead. I cant have it all. This is a reality nightly for brothers and sisters on the streets.
I’ve set my own fundraising goal and I’m asking for your support to help me reach that goal. Every dollar raised goes directly to Street Angels Inc. to provide mobile outreach, showers, meals, advocacy, and critical connections to other resources for our unsheltered neighbors.
