Help me help people experiencing homelessness in Milwaukee County

Hi all,

I wanted to do something good and make the world a better place so I became a Hope Ambassador for Street Angels Milwaukee Outreach. When I found out that despite the best efforts of the Milwaukee homeless services system there are still hundreds of people sleeping on the streets due to lack of shelter space amd/ immediate assistance, I knew I had to help. There are hungry people sleeping under the very bridges we drive over every day to get home. I strongly feel that collectively we could make a difference, if even for just a few people at a time.

This is why I became a Hope Ambassador to support Street Angels and their 2024 Season of Hope campaign to raise awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness and funding for their homeless outreach and mobile shower trailer programs. Street Angels is dedicated to assisting individuals in ending their homelessness by providing dignified services, advocacy, connections to critical resources, and hope.— and you can be a part of it.

Street Angels is there to provide support, nourishment, seasonal gear such as clothing and blankets, advocacy, and hope to those who find themselves unsheltered in Milwaukee. Their mobile outreach takes place 3/nights/week and is currently serving an average of 301 people each outreach night. In addition, their new mobile shower trailer program, Showers of Hope, is available in the community 2/days/week providing dignity and access to the very basics of good health- good hygiene. Since 2016, Street Angels has served over 125,000 meals, connected with 3,500 people experiencing unsheltered homelessness, and was able to connect over 800 people who were completely disconnected from services to permanent housing programs.
