Street Angels Christmas Gifts of Hope

This year we will once again be collecting Stockings of Hope for those experiencing homelessness in Milwaukee. Also, with so many of our friends receiving help with housing over the last year we will be collecting Baskets of Hope with household items to help them along on their new journey.

We will be striving to collect:

• Children's Stockings of Hope with treats and toys for boys and girls of all ages, to be distributed at the shelters and community meal sites. 100 for girls and 100 for boys.

• 200 Stockings of Hope for adults who are currently experiencing homelessness. Ideas for stocking fillings: Flashlights with batteries, Socks, Sweet treats, Deodorant, $5 McDonald gift card, Gloves, Hand-warmers, Rechargeable phone banks.

• We will also be collecting 300 $10 gift cards as gifts for teens & adults. The gift cards can be for places like: Wal-Mart, Speedway, Pick N Save, Walgreens, and other popular stores in our area. Please limit to $10 increments per card.

• 100 Baskets of Hope, laundry baskets full of household items for those who have recently been blessed enough to no longer be homeless. We will also accept larger gift items on their own such as new toasters, vacuum's, crock-pots etc. Most of these items will be going to our partners at Housing First to assist them with providing furnishings for hundreds of folks who receive housing through their amazing program.

Ideas for Baskets of Hope Include:

Kitchen Baskets
Utensils, mixing bowls, kitchen towels, toasters, mixing bowls, plate set etc.

Bathroom Baskets
Bath towels, wash cloths, toilet paper shower curtain etc.

Cleaning Supply Basket
Household cleaning supplies, paper towel, toilet brush, mop etc.

General Hope/Home Basket
Candles, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, welcome mat, various items etc

All assembled stockings and gifts can be dropped off at the Street Angel head quarters located at 445 W. Oklahoma Ave on any Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 10 am and Noon. Door is next to our buses parked in the lot and we are upstairs.
